Work on LCS Started?

Bicycle, bicycle. BNS.

SHAH ALAM: IT appears that work on the LCS has resumed or is starting this week as reported previously. Last week, Boustead Naval Shipyard (BNS) gifted folding bicycles to RMN LCS Project team. The bicycles will assist the RMN Project team members to conduct their tasks for the LCS project, BNS said in a LinkedIn post.

Who wants to ride my bicycle. BNS

The post:

Boustead Naval Shipyard (BNS) on September 21 has handed over five folding bicycles to the Royal Malaysian Navy’s (RMN) Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Project Team. The handing over occasion, was attended by Ir. Hassan Jaafar from the BNS LCS Project Team with Capt Ir. Malik Sulaiman RMN.

As a symbolic gesture of acceptance, Capt Ir. Malik had the privilege to ride one of the bicycles in front of the Project Team’s Building.

These CRONUS Toro-X folding bicycles will assist in facilitating the RMN’s Project Team members in their monitoring tasks around the shipyard such as patrols, inspections, and general mobility during the ongoing construction phase.

BNS expresses profound gratitude and wishes to convey our heartfelt appreciation to the RMN for their unwavering support, encouragement, and trust in BNS. We eagerly anticipate the continuation of our collaborative efforts, where we can offer the excellent solutions to meet RMN’s requirements and contribute to positive outcomes together.

I am guessing people will be unhappy with this post asking for more but I guess this is the best I can do for the moment. It is not like BNS, RMN and the Defence Ministry will be posting updates on the project’s progress unless mandated by a law or something like that. Which is the reason the PAC is visiting the shipyard next week.

  • While the restart date is important what is also important if Mindef will give a regular report on their progress to Parliament as what one of the previous governments had done before? At least the rakyat would able to track their progression.
