PETALING JAYA: Didnt I say that the push for MRCA programme is on? First it was the Gripen lease gambit. Then it was the Rafale team to come to town with their delegation.Boeing which had been running a stealth campaign relied on the US Navy to produce the shock and awe.
Not to be outdone, BAE Systems which already has a big office in KL boosted their marketing of Typhoon with a flying visit by their chief executive Ian King on Oct 29.
I was told the delegation would be meeting with Defence ministry and armed forces officials. He is also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. I am not purview to what Mr King has to offer during his flying visit but my guess it will be on the Typhoon and other products in BAE Systems line up..
So how is this all will panned out in the end? Your guess is as good as mine.
